1: Your CPU doesnt meet the minimum requirement. (not releated to your mike issue)
Do you have the EnigmasAPI installed? (its on the CD in \EnigmasAPI\ (you have to run the instmsi.exe from the \Windows98\ dir aswell))
Did you change the audio input setting to use your Soundcards wave device in Control Panel -> Speech?

I meant 600mhz (duh), yes I installed that and it's set to use my soundcard.

Directx8.1? Can Win98 run Directx9? You seem to be a little behind the times in Windows version, and directx versions.
You can go to start button, RUN, and type in dxdiag to run the directx diagnostic, and when it is finished, choose save as text file.. and email it to tesseraction - support@tesseraction.com..
Im not sure if your sound driver is the latest for your sound card, but your off to a very good start on checking where you stand on all the basic issues..

well I can't run any better directx on this old scrap heap, and win98 runs the best on this thing. But I might be getting a new computer soon, so no big worry.

Ok it's fixed. Apperently, you have to train the SAPI software or something like that. So YAY!!!!
