If I remeber what the storyline was last stated as, Germany basically caputered the English Isles after the first Great War. So all the shipyards and plans that England would have used to make the Hood are all there waiting to go. If you got the means to make a ship like that, i.e. plans, materials, and space, why not? I think the Hood (the real one?) was supposed to have been made by the LFN while the Wilhelm (what should have been the real Hood) was made in England. So the same ship (exempting minor national cosmetics), two different sides. Now I just am wondering like crazy what the US has in store to counter these two big boys?

Just to clarify - the HOOD is a pretty old ship. As Britain was about to fall (thanks in part to Prince Edward) the Royal Navy had the Hoods sister ships (what became Rodney and Nelson I believe in real life..till 1919 that is in RL) nearly complete - they tried to complete them, then tried to sabotage them, but upon the flight into exile, they were captured nearly complete by the German Navy.

They were both completed as the Kaiser Wilhelm and the Prince Edward (a thanx for helping). The Hood carried King George V, Curchill and the royal family. Hood was re-fit in Sydney and an armored deck was added.

the hoods sisters there where 3 where to be Nelson Rodney and one other but they where not compleated ande scrapped in 1919 the real world. :( The real Rodney and Nelson where cut down from a pair of super battlecrusers which would have have the speed of a BC 30knots but the armer of a Battleship. due to the washintion treaty in the 20s limiting ship size they where cut down. would be good if our azzy friends could build them for 1940 :D

Be nice if there was a BB for the USN and if they gave a WWII BB to both sides like the Prince of whales and the Tripitz. Do they have differnt gun sounds for the BBs because you dont want a 5 inch gun sound from a 15inch gun

East I do hope you really meant it when you said that there would be german super BBs like the Tripitz and the Bismark

Unless you count the ones the US had under construction in 1945. "Ticonderoga" class? I am probably mistaken. None were ever put to sea.

EDIT: Not the "Ticonderoga" class, the "Montana" class - kicking myself.
