From an outside point of view, it appears that MCVG-2 is an airinautical unit of the marines flying from carriers. So, as that goes, it would classify your group as a naval division. Right?

While the majority of Marine aviation assets ultimately derive from the Navy, some support is drawn from the United States Air Force.

MCVG-2 games in the IL-2 online community. MCVG-2 is a simulated "USMC Combat Aviation Carrier Group" The seal needs to reflect USMC Aviation lineage from the World War II era. The MCVG-2 has nothing to do with the USAF in any "simulated" or real world scenario.
