Frankly... Firewalls are for girls, Real men just secures their Windows System without using any resources..

I have been working on a super tutorial, Ill try see if I can finish it up tonight and post the link to it, It is almost complete, I just need to fine polish it.

Myself I have never ever used a Firewalll, never been hacked either, atleast not that i know of so no harm has been done.

Viruses and Trojans has never been an issue either.

99% of all Spyware is prevented by 1 simple MSIE cookie setting.

Aslong as you keep that setting on, and thinks twice before you download files from suspecious sites (eg download m5sum.exe from http://some_jibberish_host.ru/~files/md5sum.exe instead of getting it from the author at http://www.etree.org/md5com.html) and you NEVER EVER clicks "Yes" to trust ActiveX popups unless its signed by sites like http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and http://www.macromedia.com then you dont have to worry about Spyware, Viruses and Trojans. A Trusty AV tool that runs in the background (And I dont mean Norton AV!) and Adaware once a month.

The tut i wrote has all these neat little tweaks to make your system as secure as it is possible to secure WindowsXP while still having access to the Express Highway (The Internet).
