It's an update, to bring your game up to newest version.

I know that the menu has changed it looks very tight now, but as far as im aware it is mostly an update.

FR.ES & DE patch also contains the same as the current UK/AU/US patches.

Well I would hope that the US get a Cruiser or Battleship, but Id be happy with a Oil Tanker >:(

So what's this Enigma Gold I've read about?

Gotta admit I'm kind of hooked on America's Army at the moment so I really have no idea what's going on.

Enigma GOLD isn't slated for the States yet. Here's the breakdown:

- installs in English, Spanish, German or French

- Full Soundtrack

- Voice Reponse Pack

- 2 new weapons

- reskinned shell

- more remodelled ships (accuracy and quality)

- adjustments to weapon - armor penetration values

- soundfx improvements

- mission tweaks

- small bug fixes

The patches will contain all of the above with the exception of the Soundtrack.
