Roger am getting through the levels as we speak. Got the purple heart this time after mission 6/7. Will keep on pluggin and see what happens.

Just completed mission 7. Have acheived Lt Comm rank, The briefing of mission 8 still says that I have taken command of DD Stonewall Jackson but still have DE Carter Bull. Anything else I can do. Will replay a few missions to see if I can do better but given that the briefing says I have the DD this seems like a game error.

You both failed to earn enough rank in previous missions, go back and replay mission 5-6-7-8-9 (or was it just 6-7-8-9 i forgot).

But I got a message sayin' I was a gitin' the DD

Finished mission 9 with Carter Bull and acheived Commander rank. Then got the DD. And what a fine ship she is. Just keep pluggin at it Adam. It eventually worked for me,hopefully the same will happen for you.

Yeah, the first time I played the campaign (on another install... dat have anythin' to do wif it?), I got the DD. She is a good ship (but I just love the Alliance class). I wish that 3rd 5-incher was in a better position... like up front with 1&2 would be nice

Side issue: this morning I was at the airport and heard a commentary about which involved the use of the words "Stonewall Jackson DD" and a nearby location.

I'll let you know what I discover after sleuthing it out for a bit.
