if your mic doesnt work, use the poor man method, sell your car, and RUN AS FAST as you can to a store..

or click on target to highlight it white in the tactical display, and order the attack.. did you know the little tactical display and the big tactical display were both in the game with differences? Some people never open the big one.. you have to use the big one for certain commands..

Friends dont let friends play voice controlled games without a mic, it just looks silly.

Elsewhere East , I believe explained why the charges explode on contact -no matter what depth the sub is - until that is altered with a patch - and that this will not apply to multiplay.

{ OK - this had something to do with programmming ,and explains why , after you surface , you will never find unexploded charges lying on your deck , in case you wondered . }

I see no logic in the relationship of ( horizontal ) distance , or any square root of etc . to depth .

13:) Microphone Issues:
Make sure your mike is plugged in to the correct jack outlet on your Soundcard.

Make sure you have installed the Enigma-sAPI (its on the CD) If you got Win98/98SE/ME you need to run the *.exe file from \cdrom\win98 in order to be able to install the *.msi file from the \cdrom\speech\ folder.

Click Start->Settings & Printers->Control Panel->Speech (Win98/98SE/ME: its Start->Settings->Control Panel). then click on "input", from the pulldown select your Soundcards Wave Device, click on "OK" click "Train Profile" and complete atleast 2 tests, so Windows will recognize your voice/accent. (Preferly you should complete them all, and to make it even more perfect do them twice).

Vaquero - if you give more details about your system, windows version, including details on directx diagnostics, and driver versions for audio, as well as other system specs.. then more people will have ideas for you to solve your problem.

I can understand the frustration by seeing your mic works in "everything else including teamspeak" but it wont work for enigma, but maybe you could be more specific on that too.. starting with what happens when you go into preferences to click on mic test? when it asks you to say "it's a different world"?

I have a p3 500 mhz (big gerbil on a wheel), and a SBPCI sound card. When I try to set up the sound in ERT it says mic init failed. If'n ya need anymore info, let me know.

Win 98, Directx 8.1, Sound card driver is 4.12.01.2017, p3 500 mhz, 384mb RAM, hmmm, is there anything elses?
