Microphone Init Fail

I followed Jesper's link to this forum, looked thru and thru, did a search on "microphone init fail" et all and still can' find any help....

The game works ok !

Enigma:SAPI installed and "working ok" with the Microphone !

I just can't get past the "Microphone Init fail" when you push the Test button !

I have tried different combinations of settings with the Enigma:SAPI program to no avail !

I am beginning to suspect the Sound Blaster Live "device drivers"

It appears that the game does not recognize the sound card.

I did a search and found one other thread but that did not help.

If any body has a fix for this or is experiencing a similiar problem or has the same set up as I do please let me know !
