Not to diminish ERT or anything, but this looks good. It's a different scale and style of combat from Enigmas' grand and semi-archaic capship battles, but for those of you who are MTB-crazy, this could be a worthy addition to the genre.

Be interesting to see what a "final" version of Enigma ends up looking like after several years of upgrades, compared to this import out of the box.

This has been announced on SubSim for quite sometime now. I like the Russian torpedo boat, and the land looks ok. I don't like the "cardboard cutout" figures, plus the sea and sky aren't a patch on Enigma -yet.

I'm guessing that they have quite a long way to go before this is a finished product, but it is an interesting project. I also know TAG will strive to ensure Enigma remains the best for MP small ship action!

I have to tell you guys the small boats were the funest in Multiplayer. The Sboat was a blast to play. They were so effective I think I see a minor nerf coming. When you have enemy ships all around you it's very hard to keep track of the small boats that pack a big punch. When multiplayer launches you will see me in a PT or Sboat for sure and I was DD all the way before Multiplayer buxton:

DDs are for taking on other medium and big ships. DEs are for taking on everything, and doing only middlin well.

But middlin well is still pretty good against a yacht with tubes. 'specially if you don't let the idiot Auto-Evade try to drive you into the other three torpedos in a spread...

I'm gonna love being a flank-security outrunner for a battlegroup.

They have been kicking this around since before TAG was even in business. I had talked to one of the members (can't remember his name) of their team about PT Boats back before Sea Dogs 1 came out (some of you Sea Dogs fans can do the math on how long ago that was). I sent them some specs on U.S. PT Boats. I also helped them with some translations on their website. The problem is they are just now getting around to finishing it but most of the technology they are using is from the original Sea Dogs engine (I could be wrong about this I don't keep in contact with them anymore). Anyway I wish them Success! I have always been a big PT boat fan and I don't think they have anything that will take away from TAG's great AI, game engine and graphics (it's all cutting edge) and there is always room on the game shelf for one more buxton:
