VR - Could this be the future for all of us?

Saw this and thought it is fantaastic. I'm kind of hoping it will take off and become relatively inexpensive. No more need for expensive big monitors etc....

It's been out there for a while now. Most games already support https://www.oculus.com/. Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen are just mind blowing with this.
