Understood Hawk.
But whilst on the subject of tags....

Hidden tags is currently a valid tactic that may or may not achieve anything. The only reason not to have them is because they reduce the opportunity for a bit of banter with old adversaries. A high alt cat & mouse with a recognised enemy is much more fun than with an unknown. It's not a big issue though so back to the important stuff :) .
This subject of hidden tags is only when used in competition matches.

A high alt cat and mouse is virtually nonexistent in matches but seems to be a big issue for the ones that don't see the advantage and of course there are disadvantages using them, if a Squad flies as a team and as one machine it has it's advantages.

Yes, the more important stuff.:)

What Gari and Noodles bring to the table is down right dispicable and should be corrected
What on earth are you talking about? :/
Agreed, what???

@ Gari: Numbers should be sorted by, howmany you fly as GB is the same amount you fly as GE.

Tags: As i've said before, whatever comes of this discussion, end result should be ALL use the same style of tagging.

@ Hawk: This is a discussion about the future rules. Tags are as much as a valid point here as the numbers. This isnt no, decide and change now quick before next game. Next 2xSquad will be a very long time away. Its good Temper started this post, BUT it should of been on the UK Forum, as its a UK league and its their rules your discussing to change. Ultimately, Nemo and Wiz currently are the only ones who can change these rules.

- Also reckon a crashing penatly should be imposed. If say 5 crashes, deduct 2 more points, if 10, deduct a further 2 etc

- If another pilot dies in a non-enemies AA, e.g, your GE fighting only gb, but die in SU aa. I say -4 points + 1point per other team just in case its first kill so they still get the +5 bonus. (think i've suggested this already but no feedback).

- Problem with Having ALL games on sundays, is the lack of refs. Again tomorrow im busy up till 7 / 7:30, so unable to ref a game. If they were on different days to the WS games i would stand more chance of reffing. This is not important, but it may help the reffing duties, as otherwise its 3 hours gone just from AA, great fun and all, but some just don't have 3 straight hours of free time.

Duh, Oh next year rules, bet you thought I didn't know that.

Temper did run over to the UK site and said he posted this thread over here for all you's to come over here and put your 2 cents worth in. Nemo told Temper he should have posted it on UKAA, duh again.

Tags are not as much valid as the numbers and how they are used as Gari described,

Agreed, What u talkin bout Willis:)

Sorry Fury, I wont step down to your level this time.
We all know also other squads using match tags but pilots of TS defending it on this thread with tooth and nails. This is why I?m talking about TS squad in the very first place. No need to talk about WS or FD, when they don?t reply on here.

Fury, if you want to take it as a personal attack on you or TS - squad by all means, so for gods sake do it.
Oh and if you plan a revenge by targetting me in arenas: no way, I?ll use match-tags from now on, so you can?t find me. :)))
Geeezzz...........where is the Kindergarten - Cop, when you need him ?
Again, alot havn't read this as most don't come here, also tulla, as far as you to step down to my level? Again nice mindless personal attack as ive stated b4. Once again you have shown your true colors my little german buddy. As always, you have never like me as I have always disliked you, so be it, but when you start dictating the rules before you show the whole community your ethics as you state is very wrong. Do you really know what ethics mean? I think if you did you wouldn't be bashing myself or the squad I fly for as you sit there and think about the things you have said in the thread about how sick minded squads are for having tactics? Lets all sit back and review what has been said here.....your not going to step down to my level, whatever (thats funny by the way) i mean really lmfao, TS is the only squad defending this, well lets fire off some emails so people look at this so they can have an opinion (not sure, but you or some other can do a mass email). And the personal attack speaks for itself.

As you sit in your little apt. tulla looking and staring at your 12 inch monitor not doing anything, remember there is life past that door to your hallway.

Oh by the way Noodles made a great point when he stated that these rules your talking about are for the uk based leagues and when the snl and other match type games for the UNITED STATES will be dictated from the UNITED STATES league master. So do what you want there tulla, and keep up the good work!

As for me targeting you......LMAO....your always hiding under an alias or your flying at a different time then me, I have never seen you and you can find me at anytime in there under my [-TERROR-]_FURY as this is my match tag (with my name in it) so im not really hiding as you stated I am. You hide all you want simpleton.

Tulla,

Why the personal attacks? I have found that over the years after reading your posts, that if someone does not agree with your thinking, you slander them or their country.

You talk about American football and Baseball, lol.

Have you ever heard of the west coast offense? This is a tactic used to gain first downs by short 5 and 6 yard passes.

More precisely: Bill Walsh developed this "tactic".

Here are some of the staples of the West Coast offense.

Discipline comes first. Since the scheme is based mostly on timing, freelancing and missing assignments result in missed opportunities for points.

Use the pass to set up the run. Most teams using the West Coast offense more often than not have a pass-first mindset, choosing to instead spread the defense out to get better matchups in the run game. (The major exception to this rule would be the system the Denver Broncos utilize.) The offense also should be prepared to throw on any down or distance during the game.

The passing game attacks the defense within the short-to-medium range. This means the quarterback should have good accuracy in tight quarters, and it makes the receivers run precise routes in order to get open.

Everyone is a weapon. Whether it's a four-receiver set, a pro-set, or a goal line formation, all of the players on the field (including tight ends and backs) have to be able to catch the football and make plays.

Create matchup problems for the defense. The quarterback usually will make pre- and post-snap reads to judge where the ball should go. Audibles and motions at the line of scrimmage open up holes in the defense to create mismatches for the offense to capitalize on. The offense can also be run out of any formation, which will give opponents headaches as well.

Ability to run the football. Although it is typically a pass-first scheme, the ability to run the football when needed is a must for any successful West Coast offense (or any scheme for that matter). Most West Coast teams now use zone-blocking to help in the power-running game (including Denver and Houston). This aspect of the scheme derives directly from Coryell and the Chargers of the 1970s.

Quarterback play: Signal-callers should be mobile and football-smart. They will be expected to make reads at the line of scrimmage to figure out who the hot (or primary) read is on any given play. Touch and accuracy are usually a must; while a strong arm is a nice asset, isn't the most important thing. The ability to see the field and either get rid of the ball or make a play after the three- or five-step drop is important as well.

Running back play: Obviously the ability to pick up yards when needed is a must, but running the ball is just one job of a back in this scheme. Many West Coast offense rushers are key cogs in the passing game (such as Brian Westbrook) and are also needed in pass protection, at times, as well with tight ends running routes more often than not.

Receiver play: Wideouts in the West Coast offense obviously have to run very precise and sharp routes with the ability to separate from opposing defensive backs. What may be even more important, however, is the ability to make plays after the catch. This was a big reason why someone such as wide receiver Terrell Owens (Dallas Cowboys) was such a big-time player in the system.

Tight end play: As touched on earlier, tight ends will mostly be counted on to be a part in the passing game as a receiver, with their blocking ability being an added bonus. Running sharp routes is a great attribute to have in this system, especially as a check-down target for quarterbacks trying to get rid of the ball quickly.

Ever heard of a bunt? This is a tactic used to advance a player from one base to another.

Ever seen them sheets that the coaches use that have plays on them? Well them "squiggly" marks are offensive and defensive plays "tactics" used to gain the upper hand on an opponent in the course of playing.

Your use of words stating that I need an unfair advantage by hiding behind my tag is very amusing. If you would like to go one on one with me in a room, feel free to do so I will be using my [-TERROR-] tag or maybe my TS tag or perhaps an alias.

Surely a skilled pilot as yourself should dispatch me easily, with or without a tag, no?

As I have stated before, if you were good enough to kill someone when you knew them surely your skills will prevail again, no?

Temper,

My post was not an attack against you, it is unfortunate that you took it that way. Hopefully we can see past this.

Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.

Aloha

Well, the SNL is techincally still Warships, we just let the US run it last time. =) So SNL wont be dictated by americans cos sal is my bitch ;)

@ Hawk: Duh? lol You think i didn't read the other topic on the UK Nb?

Tags are as valid as Numbers. This is a discussion, nothing may even come of this. Considering the number is pretty much agreed by reading through, how many you fly as GB is the same amount as GE, even if you "lose" 1-2.

Only problem i see with this is. Some squads still don't wanna fight 8v8 and say 2 will be leaving in the second half. This will be dodgy to enforce 8v8 in both halfs as theres no way to "truely" way to tell if the other squad is telling the truth or not.
