Reforger

It's on! I have begun the preliminary planning for our first SNATF in months. I have one of the original SNATF people on board and there have been several others who expressed interest in helping out for the next event. Here are some of the changes to look for:

SNATF will now become a once a month event. Among the reasons for this change is to reduce the amount of work load on our people who all give their free time towards this. Also we need to have fresh and interesting mission scenarios, weekly events depleted the ones we had quickly and strained the abilities of our mission writers to keep up.

SNATF events will be as usual open to all. We will be scheduling and assigning teams well in advance. Difficult to do in a weekly event. Once a month events also provide for more time to promote the mission event and get the word out to potential participants.

Our first event is a tenative go on November 18 at 2000 EST. That's 5 on the West coast, sorry. It's also 1 AM in London where at least three participants will be logging in from. In the future we may go later and even switch the night to Friday if that's what works. Loosening up from full switch FISC rules may also be considered if it brings in more participants. I have heard many complaints that without icons, it simply takes too long to spot other aircraft. Let alone make an ID. They have a point in a timed event. We shall see.

REFORGER is the mission for our REturn of FORces to GERmany. A hypothetical mission set in spring of 1945 where Allied forces fly against the Luftwaffe following a particularly brutal winter. All suggestions are most welcome. See you then!
