Cant Patch To Gold

Hi there,

I've recently bought ERT and was happily playing the German Sub Campaign till the Wrek (Mission 3 KLM), where I just cannt get any further (patch required - Thank you Forum)

The problem in Patching is making sure wich version to patch from.

My license.dat says 2.0.8, starting the game I get V2.5-201 and no version number in the upper left/right corner of the main menu. I bought the German Version, but neither from GMX nor from Pointsoft - it was greenpepper, aka Novitas.

I tried upgrading from 2.0.8 (download from download.tidesofwar.net) and I get a "Bad Install" message.

(Yes, I did uninstall ERT before doing that, re-installed out of the box and tried to patch from a TEMP Folder.)

I wanted to give it a try with the uk201_Gpatch, but the file is no longer available on the server (or the link is broken).

Any sugestions?

Thanks for the heads up on the bad links, they are fixed now

well my patch to Gold went fine (UK version) but iingame still says 2.01a

over time i discovered existance of minipatch Minipatch 3.0.0 to Gold v3.0.1

but that one reports patched 3.0.0 UKgold as "bad install"

any idea what's wrong ? thanks in advance

well, unfortunately none of the patches has worked for me. I've tried 2.0.8 and 2.0.7 and I just get "Bad game install".

Is there any way of finding out why I'm getting this? Like say a registry key value or something in those lines.

I still haven't given up...

start the game without the disk in the drive, when the error dialog comes up hit retry (if offered), then run the error report and send it to support@warfleet.net
